Made in America

I bought a 2004 Ford Explorer in August of 2011. After a month and a half I began to experience a few problems with the vehicle and this is the letter that I wrote and the response I received.

Since the writing of this letter, sent in early October, the battery has died in the vehicle and had to be replaced as well. It was the third time the battery had failed in a month and half and one of the times it failed was on the lot before I brought it home and they claimed it was because they had to hook the vehicle to a computer to find the codes. I've sank close to $1000 into the vehicle over the last 2 months and all I received was a "Thank You" letter from the company. I know they must receive thousands of letters every day from people much like myself, some better and some worse I'm sure, but to have such a generic response to someone who points out blatant problems and inconsistencies with the way pre-owned vehicles are inspected is just poor taste. I will never buy another vehicle from Doug Henry Ford in Tarboro NC and may never buy a Ford product again.
